• Lab participation is optional, but highly recommended.

Prerequisites:

• Successful completion of PI-1.
• For beginners we recommend the 'Unix Crash Course' and 'Tools and Unix API'

Syllabus:

• Firewalls, Virtual Private Network
• sudo, chroot, ACL's
• Authentication (with files, NIS, NIS+, LDAP, PAM, RADIUS, SAMBA)
• Secure Transport in Networks
• Network Analysis Tools, Network Monitoring Tools
